Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

Days, Noted is a calendar, activity-discovery, and personal planning application designed to help people discover experiences, save ideas, organize activities, and create meaningful memories. We respect your privacy and aim to be transparent about how information is handled.

The application is currently in development and its main website is private. This public page describes the current application and clearly identifies planned features. Publishing this policy does not make the application or anyone’s notebook public.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, Days, Noted processes information you choose to provide:

2. How We Use Information

Information is used to provide the features you request, including displaying plans, organizing saved ideas, showing seasonal and location-based suggestions, reviewing reminders and supplies, and revisiting your own memories. Personal planning records are not automatically published or added to your calendar from an external source.

Days, Noted does not currently send notebook text or photographs to an AI recommendation or analysis service. We do not intend to sell personal information to advertisers.

3. Pinterest Integration — Current and Planned Features

Current manual links: you may choose to save individual Pinterest links and add or review an activity’s title, creator information and seasonal tags. Your reviewed activity records are stored in your local notebook. When you ask the application to resolve a pin.it share link, that link is sent to the application’s resolver, which contacts Pinterest to obtain the original Pin address. This does not connect your Pinterest account.

Opening an original Pin takes you to Pinterest. Where an optional official Pinterest preview is offered, loading it contacts Pinterest and is subject to Pinterest’s privacy practices; an attributed link is available when a preview cannot be displayed. Days, Noted does not download Pinterest images into its catalog through this manual importer.

Planned account connection: Days, Noted is developing an optional integration that would let users voluntarily connect their own Pinterest accounts through Pinterest’s official authorization process. If approved and enabled, the integration would request only approved permissions needed to display the user’s authorized boards and Pins, open the originals, and let the user choose ideas to save or plan. It would not automatically schedule Pins.

Days, Noted will not ask you to provide your Pinterest password directly. Pinterest-derived information will be handled according to Pinterest’s applicable API terms and developer requirements; permanent storage rights are not assumed. Pinterest account syncing, OAuth authorization and API-token storage are not currently active. Before activation, this policy will be updated to explain the approved data access, storage, retention, disconnection and deletion controls.

4. Browser Storage and Future Accounts

The current notebook stores calendar entries, collections, lists, traditions, memories and supported photographs in IndexedDB on the browser/device where they were created. Application preferences and owner Design Studio drafts may also use browser-local storage. Official owner-published theme files are separate from private drafts and personal notebooks.

Browser-local records do not automatically synchronize across devices. Clearing website data, changing browsers or losing the device can remove access to them. The application offers backup/export and recovery controls; you are responsible for keeping exported files safe. Exported files stay under your control unless you choose to share or upload them.

The main private website uses its hosting platform’s access controls. This access is separate from the future Days, Noted account-storage system. Hosted notebook accounts, Supabase synchronization, and cloud photo storage are not active. No production notebook migration is described or authorized by this policy. If hosted accounts are introduced, this policy will identify the providers, data stored, safeguards, retention and available controls before activation.

5. Third-Party Links and Content

Days, Noted links to event organizers, project instructions, Pinterest, mapping services and other resources. Those services have their own privacy practices. Following a link or choosing to load third-party content can send your request, IP address and browser information to that service.

The optional ZIP-center lookup sends the ZIP code you enter to Zippopotam.us to obtain an approximate distance-search origin. It does not send your calendar, saved ideas, photos or the rest of your notebook. You can browse by typed city/ZIP without using this lookup. Opening directions sends the selected destination to your chosen map service.

Discovery catalogs and licensed photographs may be served with the application. If you choose to load an external image or embedded source, the provider receives that request. Public source information is distinct from private notebook records; linking to a publisher does not transfer ownership of its content to Days, Noted.

6. Data Retention, Choices and Deletion

Local records remain in your browser until removed through the application or browser controls. Some recoverable removals may remain in the application’s Trash or local recovery copies until deliberately cleared or replaced. Design drafts and backup files can be stored separately, so deleting a notebook does not necessarily delete those copies.

You can choose what to enter, omit photos or optional location lookup, remove saved records, and export your data. Clearing browser storage can permanently remove local information; export first if you want a copy. Days, Noted cannot remotely recover or erase a browser-local notebook that has not been synchronized to a hosted service. For help or privacy questions, use the contact below. Hosting providers manage their operational records under their own retention practices; no fixed provider-log retention period is represented here.

Future account storage and Pinterest connections will have documented retention, disconnect and deletion procedures before they are enabled.

7. Children’s Privacy

Days, Noted’s planned Pinterest account integration is not intended for children under 13. Users must also meet Pinterest’s applicable age and eligibility requirements. The current private development app does not offer public account registration.

8. Security

We aim to use appropriate safeguards for information handled by Days, Noted. The current local notebook is not encrypted by the application at rest; device/browser access protections matter. If you use the optional encrypted-backup feature, protect its password and recovery files. No website or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as features and data practices change. Material changes will be reflected in the updated policy and communicated where required. Planned features described here are not a claim that those features are currently available.
